Lead Pastor- Rev. José Nieves
Pastor José, a native of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, graduated from Evangel University (Springfield, MO) and earned his Masters in Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary (Orlando, Fl). He is ordained as a Full Elder in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. For over ten years he has been at the service of the Kissimmee area at Casa de Paz UMC and First Kissimmee UMC. Pastor José has been named Volunteer of the Year by the Osceola School District for his services to local schools including the All Pro Dad and iMOM programs. He continues to find new ways to strengthen the community. Pastor Jose is married to Libby and has three handsome boys: Ely, Lucas and Daniel. On his time off, José enjoys everything basketball related, including coaching and rooting for the Orlando Magic! #GoMagic
Interim Children’s Minister: Libby Nieves
Libby Nieves is passionate about kids knowing that God loves them, helping them deepen their faith, and having fun learning about Jesus. Libby has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Missouri State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Troy University. Libby is married to Pastor Jose and enjoys the adventures that come with raising three active boys. Libby also enjoys a good cup of coffee, spending time in nature, volunteering in the community, and baking treats for friends and family.
